The winner has been chosen based on the following criteria: using email best practice; implementing creative design ideas; developing compelling subject lines; and writing great copy. The Petplan email ticks all the boxes. I really like the simple yet stylish layout and general design. The subject line is: “4 Great Reasons to Insure with Petplan”. Thomas Cook – how not to do emails

It’s really no surprise that Thomas Cook is on its knees

As I’m sure you’ve heard, Thomas Cook is on the verge of bankrupcy. Having seen their recent email campaigns, this news is no surprise to me. Their emails really do make a good “Hot Not To” case study. Not to put too fine a point on it, the email below is pretty rubbish. I’ve added it to my “Hall of Shame” and here’s my blog about the mistakes they’ve made.
