This email makes good use of calls to actions. Calls to actions have to be designed the correct way in order to catch the readers eye check out this infographic for tips on creating a great call to action. The subject line shows the reader the kind of deals they are to expect when opening the email. This is good as will less likely be deleted because the reader can see what it is about straight away.

PizzaExpress wins the InboxVision Email Gallery Design of the Week Award
This email uses an innovative way of personalising it’s emails. The subject line shows that this email has designed a £10 menu just for “Norman”. The use personalisation in an email can be a very successful technique in reducing unsubscribes by addressing your audience personally. It’s relatively easy and inexpensive to execute. It’s also a great opportunity to segment your emails by highlighting subscriber preferences. Emails personalised for a certain subscriber tastes gives that subscriber what they want and they can totally relate to the emails and be more engaged by them.

With just 3 weeks until Fathers day, Apple have timed this campaign perfectly and combining the Fathers day into the subject line is something that would rarely be ignored or trashed. The title within the email “Show Dad you know what’s best” is not quite what you’d usually expect as an email title, but is unique enough to draw you in.

eCost.com wins the InboxVision Email Gallery Design of the Week Award
This eCost.com email is an awesome example of creating some excitement to showcase hot, new products. The bright and energetic colour palette combined with the monolithic perspective of this piece of “tech” suggests a fun yet superior product. The content of the email uses a clean and easy-to-read design. The blank white background emphasises the rich quality of the images and decorative elements. Separating the different features by alternating the text and image alignments is a great idea; this forces the viewers eye to move from side to side to absorb the small paragraphs and headings rather than it appearing as a large boring block of features.
