It’s been a pretty good month for email design so we thought we’d showcase some of our favourite findings from our database. We reviewed a fantastic incentive email from Corbis a few weeks ago and we loved it so much we’ve named it email of the month!

Euro 2012 is now over but lets not forget this email from Ironmongery Direct Ltd. The email provides us with a fun game to play with great prizes to be won with the added bonus of great timing to ensure that the game would be played to it’s fullest.

Apple Inc. wins the InboxVision Email Gallery Design of the Month Award
With just over a week until Fathers day, Apple have timed this campaign perfectly and combining the Fathers day into the subject line is something that would rarely be ignored or trashed. The title within the email “Show Dad you know what’s best” is not quite what you’d usually expect as an email title, but is unique enough to draw you in.

Anne Summers use email marketing intelligence by “getting real”
This Anne Summers email cleverly involved their customers and prospects by inviting them to enter and/or vote for a “real” model - their “New Face”. Their subject line was: “The New Face of our New Brand”. This is an excellent example of how to get your readers interacting with your company and personally relating to your brand, eagerly anticipating the subsequent emails in your campaign.

Petplan win the November 2011 InboxVision be inspired creative email design award
The winner has been chosen based on the following criteria: using email best practice; implementing creative design ideas; developing compelling subject lines; and writing great copy. The Petplan email ticks all the boxes. I really like the simple yet stylish layout and general design. The subject line is: “4 Great Reasons to Insure with Petplan”. This is excellent – it’s very up-front and intriguing! The Petplan email is a worthy winner.
