What we think about our top 6:

Mimi’s Cafe: The copy of this email we particularly enjoyed. “Start July with a bang” and “Red white and yum”. There is also a nice top visual banner. There is a fair amount of decoration here, but it doesn’t crowd the images or come across too zany, this allows the image of the food offers to stand out in succulent glory. We also liked that the calls to action were clear and links to order and other social buttons were well placed.
Reebok International Ltd:Sports clothing isn’t something we’d necessarily associate with a celebrating a public holiday, but the email is well timed; on the previous Friday. This should result in a good consumer open rate and is likely to be seen over the weekend giving them long enough to take advantage of the offer on-line.
Although, this email could have been better segmented and use personalisation, as without it: it feels like you’re just being sold to as it is somewhat dropped in-front of you.
Yves Rocher USA: This email incorporates some good links to their website and offers, which would increase traffic, although we would recommend that you don’t make your discounts quite this huge. Having such a large call to action doesn’t help to make them easy to find. The product images and text seem a bit crammed together and the link to the offer blends in with the “$15″. You should always try and make links stand out, so reserving the colour red for the checkout button would be a wise move.
West Elm: Again lots of good links, but be careful not to overload the email so that the overall offer or direction of the email remains clear. The invite to the local store is a really interesting promotion, and not something we’ve seen for a while, NICE!
Ecko: Ecko have used Independence Day to creatively promote their brand, the concept of rebellion with the guerilla grafitti aesthetic “eckoes” the brands non-conformist street-wear style. The call to action is simple and clear and works well with the imagery.
DKNY: DKNY have used a similar approach, using a minimalist style that reflects their brand and incorporates the colours of the American flag.
