Compassion UK Chrisitian Child Development wins the InboxVision Email Gallery Design of the Week Award (Controversially)
This Compassion UK email is an excellent example of how to hit all bases in terms of design, well… pretty much! Unfortunately this email hasn’t been optimised for all browsers and has been received disjointed due to border settings on the linked images and setting correct widths for tables, let’s look at the top 6 reasons that made it this week’s winner:
- Great email template design layout: This email has a strong structure. There are clear distinctions between the headers, body, video and calls to action.
- Good use of video integration: With the recent trends of “beautification” of the internet and the increasing amount of on-line content we consume; a video is a great way to “tell your story”.
- Simple well laid out Call To Actions: These options covering all possible outcomes, and the main desired outcome is made larger and repeated at the top of the email
- Good tie in with Mothers day (USA)
- Great viral element where members get members: Remember, your content doesn’t always share itself. Sometimes it’s good to ask!
- Excellent uplifting copy using true life story telling.
Over all a great email design, let down at the final hurdle by some poor HTML coding, but still we loved it and these guy
s do an extraordinary job helping children around the world.
Lets us know what you think!
I selected the email from InboxVision’s “be inspired” Email Gallery, a small extract from their Email Intelligence database of a million promotional email designs.
